Hey everybody, so for this weeks assignment we were provided instructions on how to create a screencast. I chose the Jing platform to do my own screencast in review of Sb Nation, which is a leading sports blog that addresses news and interests on a wide variety of sports. I decided to review SB Nation within my screencast due to being a reader of the site for a number of years now and in also finding the layout and page all around very effective in informing the audience about the sporting world. I really enjoyed this assignment, and felt that this was definitely one of the more easy assignments we were educated on so far this semester. Within our world in which we communicate on a high digital level, understanding how to screencast and share your own screen and comments with others, is a tremendous asset to have. Prior to this project, I have used Jing to screenshot images for an Advertising class of mine, but was never asked nor educated on how to construct a screencast within the platform. However, I must say that Jing proves to be extremely sufficient and easy in creating screencasts, as well as screenshots. The site has an easy interface which allows users to accomplish their task quickly and often with just a hands on approach where you can figure out the process by exploring around for a little bit. Overall, knowing how to screencast and share ideas and projects with other people is a great thing to have under your belt. This skill can be very handy within the business world, such as creating projects or tutorials that can be shared with other co-workers. Understanding the basics of Jing, enables people on yet another presentation method that is effective in addressing your message and or sharing your own voice, concern, and or interests with other people.
